Doukades village, 

located on the west coast of Corfu, 5 minutes from the famous resort of Paleokastritsa and just 30 minutes from Corfu town.

Doukades village offers three lovely tavernas, all using fresh local produce, preparing some of the best Corfiot cuisine.

The square is the heart of the village, a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a lovely cold refreshment or try a delicious Greek homemade snack.

The mini market is also the coffee & bakery shop. In the morning, people gather to enjoy a coffee or breakfast in this beautiful square. 

By noon, the village begins to fill with tourists, either for lunch or to explore one of the many different walking paths the village offers. 

Most are the old donkey paths that lead off in different directions throughout the village and the olive groves. 

Take a pleasant walk out of the village to the only donkey sanctuary on the Island, which is located just outside of Doukades.

If you enjoy hiking, then venture to the old church that sits above Doukades on the mountaintop overlooking Paleokastritsa.

With all the village's attractions, Doukades is fast becoming one of the most popular original villages to visit. 

In the evening, the village square is full of children playing and people enjoying a drink or two, and the tavernas are full of tourists and locals. 

Doukades is a known favorite with the local Islanders for a Sunday dinner, summer and winter.
